Nairobi National Park. US$35 per person sharing
With its closeness to the city, you’ll find yourself on a broad savannah, home to lions, leopards, buffalo, rhinos, giraffes, and many more. These are the wild lands of Nairobi National Park, Kenya’s very first reserve.
In just 10km south of the city, you’ll be on the watch for hyena, impala, ostrich, and over 400 species of birds. The park also hosts zebras and a few wildebeests moving through the wild space.
Nairobi National Park – Kenya’s first-ever National Park is a unique and unspoiled wildlife haven within sight of the city.
Rhinos, buffalos, Cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, lions, and plenty of antelopes and gazelles can be seen roaming in this open plains’ country with a section of highland forest as well as stretches of broken bush country, deep rocky valleys, and gorges with scrub and long grass.
Ornithologists catch cranes vultures’ peckers and many more.
David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage
Within the borders of the park lies a special animal sanctuary in the world.
We will visit this unique sanctuary where rescued baby elephants are saved and nursed back to health. Feeding time is at 11:00 am and we’ll be there to enjoy the sight of dozens of these babies feeding from enormous milk bottles.
Feeding is followed by bath time as the tiny elephants roll about and cavort in giant mud baths. And all of this… just a few short feet from you.
Now it’s your lunchtime, so take your choice of dining at the Karen Blixen Coffee Garden or the world-famous Carnivore restaurant.

Here Blixen established a coffee plantation in colonial Africa. The museum features artifacts from her life as well as props from the classic movie which was shot close by.

Though not nearly as expensive as Tsavo, Amboseli’s smaller size provides many opportunities to view its abundant game – especially its elephants. The park of known as perhaps the best spot in Africa for spotting free-ranging elephants. There’s also plenty of other wildlife here as well as hundreds of bird species. And of course, great views of Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Another early morning will bring us an African sunrise and possibly views of Kilimanjaro’s snowcapped peak if the clouds break. After breakfast, we’ll depart Amboseli with a final game drive.
We’ll head through the Great Rift Valley and stop in the capital of Nairobi for lunch before proceeding on to Lake Naivasha.
